The first Freedom Vineyard baptism service was awesome! In the past we've partnered with other churches, but this time we had access to a pool. Mind you the pool temperature was only 72, the cool air made that a bit more bearable! We baptized two candidates, both who have been part of our community since beginning their walk with Christ. Sharon only captured a few shots, so when the rest of the images come in I'll post some more of the service.

Do you ever have the urge to hold those you don't like as much under the water for - say - quater of an hour or so?
We were joking about one of the guys I baptized, one of the pictures Caroline's dad took looks like I'm holding him down a little too entheusiastically. This is our first time doing immersion forward so we learned some stuff. Much easier than taking them backwards (especially because the Roman rite is dunking them three times!) but they need to be kneeling all the way down or they can lose their balance.
That's exciting. A couple of weeks ago we baptized a group of people at the beach. Our whole church comes out and we celebrate all day at the beach.
